Is it really already December?!

I'm shaking my head and hiding my face as I yet again apologize for not updating the blog as regularly as I initially intended (and promised!) to.  I absolutely love working with the kiddos, taking pictures of them working, and sharing them with you but I find myself so absorbed in actually teaching that sometimes I realize it's been way too long since I've taken or posted pictures!  The good news about that is that you can rest assured I'm completely focused on being right there with the kids, teaching and working with them, but the not-so-good part is that then you miss out on sneak peeks into our classroom!  :(  I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me.

Here are some long-awaited photos.  I SO enjoy spending my days with your children, and I hope you enjoy seeing how we spend our days together. :)

We have been BUSY!

I am so sorry for not having posted in the past few weeks!  The good news is that I HAVE been taking pictures, I just haven't gotten them posted.  My sincere apologies!  This month we had several special visitors in our classroom; my brother "Soldier Dallas" came to talk to the kids about being a soldier so they would have some background knowledge once Veteran's Day comes in November.  The kids LOVED being able to ask him questions, meet a "real soldier" up close and personally, and have him just hang out with us for awhile in kindergarten.  We also had the Hartford City Fire Deparment visit today which was very exciting!  The kids got to spray the fire hose and one of our students, Brady Hess, got to assist his dad (one of the local firefighters) in teaching our class fire safety and prevention.  A big THANK YOU goes out to all of our visitors and heroes!

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy... :)

Writing and math group pictures

Here are some more snapshots of us hard at work in kindergarten.  I try to make sure I get every student in at least one picture when I take them, but please let me know if you've noticed your child seems to be missing from the pictures!  Enjoy! :)
